Abstract

Strategic human resource management is one of the most critical components of an organization in the processes of recruitment, training, performance management, and even the retirement phase of employees. It serves as a guiding framework for an organization to achieve its strategic goals. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to provide a framework for strategic human resource management using a meta-synthesis approach. Considering the growing body of theories in this field, this research, through a comprehensive review and aggregation of diverse theories and models over a 10-year period (2013 to 2023) in reputable domestic and international articles (approximately 80 validated articles), seeks to offer an inclusive framework. This is achieved by identifying similarities in the models developed during this period and fostering their convergence through the meta-synthesis method. For analyzing the studies, the qualitative grounded theory approach proposed by Strauss and Corbin (2007) was employed. The dimensions and policies of strategic human resource management were identified, and the validity and reliability of the proposed model were confirmed through expert review in this field. Subsequently, the coding methodology used in this study is explained, as well as the conversion of qualitative findings into quantitative data to test the accuracy of the proposed framework. Based on the results obtained from the proposed model for strategic human resource management, managers can implement strategic human resource management policies and practices in organizations.
